Ronald Towns is committed to fighting educational inequity. At Common Cents, his curriculum enabled students with special needs in 30 public schools to participate in community service. He wrote a report commissioned by the House Committee on the Judiciary on current civil rights violations, and founded the CU Model UN Educational Series, which provides free conferences and enhances students’ critical thinking skills. Ron, with his brother Marlon, was raised in Detroit by his mother Arlene.
