In December 2007, Sajid Huq accepted an offer to become a Senior Associate in the Research Analytics & Knowledge division at McKinsey & Company’s offices in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After joining the prominent financial services provider, Sajid Huq took on an immediate managerial role in the company, overseeing research projects on topics such as financial services, diversified industrials, and consumer markets. Sajid Huq also created quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) documents on industry research and a completed a number of sector outlook reports, which included sections on market analysis, issues and trends, and “current state.” In addition to performing primary and secondary research through both expert interviews and databases such as Capital IQ and Factiva, Sajid Huq designed presentations for meetings between managing partners and Fortune 100 companies. After serving for more than a year with McKinsey & Company, Sajid Huq assumed the duties of Senior Manager of the Industries & Marketing team at KPMG International Cooperative in April 2009. Sajid Huq took on a number of key responsibilities at KPMG International, including supervision of a team of analysts focused on preparing research products for use in strategic account management. In addition to designing strategic account management products such as relationship opportunity reports (RORs), company opportunity reports (CORs), and daily news triggers, Sajid Huq also provided sales and marketing support for Account Executives. In several instances, Sajid Huq drew upon his extensive financial background to develop innovative products and strategies at KPMG International, including a working capital benchmarking model and associated Microsoft PowerPoint collateral, marketing collateral referred to as “quals,” and processes for coordinating internal work streams. Sajid Huq also organized a number of workshops and informational seminars on topics such as The Dubai Financial Crisis, Business Writing, The U.S. Corporate Bond Market, and a detailed overview of the financial crisis. In recognition of his high quality leadership and dedication, Sajid Huq earned the Outstanding Performer Award for the second half of 2009. Prior to launching his career as a financial executive with McKinsey & Company and KPMG International, Sajid Huq earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Dartmouth College, where he graduated with a GPA of 3.87. In addition to earning the prestigious Vivian Allen Foundation Scholarship for Academic Achievement, Sajid Huq served as President of the Club of Dartmouth Entrepreneurs and as a Research Associate with the Tuck School of Business. Sajid Huq also holds a Master of Arts in Financial Economics from Columbia University.
