Salina Rahim attended school at The American Intercontinental University (AIU) from 2005 to 2008. At AIU, located in Los Angeles, Rahim studied Fashion Design and Marketing, and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in June of 2008. Before completing her degree, Rahim gained fashion design experience working with “CandyLand clothing for Kids,” where one of a kind designs and colorful, trendy, and fun clothing was key. Although she designed numerous items of clothing for the company, Rahim’s denim jean designs were considered one of her best works and became quite popular. During her time attending the American Intercontinental University, Ms. Rahim was also a member of Fashion Group International (FGI) and Fashion Business International (FBI). FGI describes itself as being a global, non-profit, and professional organization with over 5,000 members, all of whom are designers in areas ranging from accessories, apparel, home, and beauty. The goal of the group is to help its members in their fashion career paths. Similarly, FBI provides individuals with the tools necessary to take their business careers to a new level. Ms. Salina Rahim still lives in Los Angeles and continues to be a creative and innovative member of the fashion industry. She also remains a part of the Fashion Business organization and Fashion Group International. Her academic achievements, hands on experience in the fashion designing industry, and her long term commitment and memberships in some of the world’s leading organizations in fashion allow her to express her talent and remain a true designer. In addition to her professional work as a fashion designer, Salina Rahim is involved in her community, volunteering her time at the American Red Cross, as well as at local animal shelters.
