Sam was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand. After graduating with Biochemistry and Microbiology from Otago Medical Science School, he is now in his sixth year as a project management professional for Greenstone Energy (formerly Shell New Zealand). He is passionate about technology, business and people of influence, and is active with the New Zealand Chinese community and international development activities. In his free time he enjoys various outdoor activities, spending time with friends, reading up a bestseller, following current affairs and world history. He is learning to speak Mandarin, ballroom dancing, and slowly becoming an ‘all right’ gardener of vegetables. He is an ardent supporter of the national winning rugby team, the All Blacks.
