As a student of the Windsor, Connecticut, preparatory institution the Loomis Chaffee School, Samuel A. Shushtari spent considerable time in foreign countries. Outside of competing in squash matches in the Czech Republic and Hungary, Shushtari participated in a yearlong study-abroad program in Rennes, France, and became fluent in French. He first developed a passion for other cultures as a child traveling to locations such as the Dominican Republic, Spain, Tunisia, Greece, Belgium, and Morocco. Prior to settling in their Hartford, Connecticut, estate, Shushtari and his parents also lived in London and Austin, Texas. Before enrolling in college, Samuel A. Shushtari gained valuable humanitarian experience as a volunteer with Hands On Hartford, an organization that extends housing and educational services to people in need.

Today, Samuel A. Shushtari studies communication and film at Boston University. He continues to exceed academically, making the Dean’s List, while remaining active in a variety of hobbies. A former student of Hartford Art School in Connecticut, Shushtari enjoys experimenting with acrylic paints. He also expresses his creative abilities in several other regards. A passionate musician, Samuel A. Shushtari regularly travels to college campuses to play guitar and sing. In his free time, Shushtari enjoys cooking, golfing, and honing his skills as a BMX biker; he frequently demonstrates various flips and turns in competitions. His history in athletics also includes time as an All New-England Cross Country runner on his high school’s varsity team.
