The New York law firm regularly receives high ratings in such professional guides as International Financial Law Review, Chambers and Partners, and The Legal 500. In his practice, Sander Bak focuses on securities litigation as well as matters related to international law. The author of many client alerts and articles on securities and international law, Sander Bak successfully defended several financial institutions in Gross v. German Foundation Industrial Initiative. Other cases Sander Bak handled successfully at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP include Stutts v. De Dietrich Group, involving letters of credit issued to the Republic of Iraq. Sander Bak has lectured extensively on issues of international litigation and general areas of law. In December 2010, he gave a lecture for ALI-ABA entitled Reducing Litigation Risks While Doing Business Abroad. In May 2011 Sander Bak was one of the faculty members for the PLI’s Course on Federal Pretrial Practice. Sander Bak also possesses experience and skills in representing court-appointed trustees, hedge funds, corporations, and other clients and is well-versed in bankruptcy litigation. Admitted to the New York State Bar, the New Jersey Bar, and various federal courts, he also serves on the Federal Courts Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Prior to his present position, Sander Bak served as an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. At Yeshiva University, he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
