After graduating from the University of Virginia, Sara Murphy served as American Fellow at Uppingham School where she taught English and Religious Studies. After spending a year as a legal secretary in Richmond, Virginia, she attended law school at Vanderbilt University Law School. While at Vanderbilt, she interned with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and spent a summer as an extern in the chambers of the Honorable William J. Haynes, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. During her last semester of law school, she interned with the Office of the Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in the Hague. She is currently working as a litigation associate in the Washington DC office of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, LLP.
