When she was a graduate student of contemporary art at Christie’s Education, New York, Italian-born Sara Tecchia was struck by the dismissive attitudes of staff members she encountered while visiting art galleries in Chelsea. She believes a gallery’s atmosphere should remain a welcoming and academic environment, in which visitors are free to engage in conversations and exchange opinions with gallery employees.

Sara Tecchia is naturally inquisitive about the world around her and enjoys engaging artists in extensive discussions about their creative processes and how to best showcase their works true to their intentions. She concentrates her attention on primary and secondary contemporary art.

Though some people view fine art as mere decoration or an investment, Sara Tecchia feels art should always inspire, particularly in the area of intellectual discourse. She has dedicated her career to helping artists whose works are born of innovative techniques or perspectives as much as aesthetic vision.

Sara Tecchia came to New York in 2003, after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs from the Università degli Studi Roma Tre in Italy.
