Scott Chappelle, Strathmore Development Company’s Principal and President, works as an accomplished real estate investor and developer who has completed projects with a value of more than $750 million. Mr. Chappelle is a licensed real estate broker with extensive plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills?a unique combination which allows him to effectively review blueprints, engineering drawings, surveys, and site plans for the Strathmore Development Company?s projects. Scott Chappelle’s professional memberships include the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Urban Land Institute, the United States Green Building Council, and the National Association of Realtors.

Before starting Strathmore Development Company, Scott Chappelle spent eight years as an attorney in the practice of tax, real estate, and general business law. He holds membership with the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.

From 1988 to 1998, Scott Chappelle served as a Certified Public Accountant. His practice focused on financial issues for developers and small business owners, with an emphasis on taxation and computer information systems. Mr. Chappelle is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Scott Chappelle received his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1988. His studies focused on individual, partnership, and corporate taxation; real estate; land use; and general business law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University College of Business with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, and Taxation in 1984. He financed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees by working full time while attending school.
