Before Dr. Scott Eisenkop began his private practice in Sherman Hills, California, he spent many years assisting and mentoring the next generation of obstetrical and gynecological physicians. Although Dr. Eisenkop also completed an academic appointment at Stanford University Medical Center, the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center was the setting for the majority of his professional training. Moreover, the facility became the venue for his service as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

LAC+USC serves as one of the nation’s largest scholastic medical centers, and also provides a host of emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services. In addition to caring for patients and conducting clinical research, USC faculty physicians supervise the training of over 1,000 medical residents and students annually. Recognized as one of the nation’s best, this division of LAC+USC has served as a forum for a host of federally funded projects, in addition to other clinical ventures on issues such as gynecologic oncology, prenatal diagnostics, complex infertility treatment, and high-risk obstetrics.

The esteemed institution partnered with the USC Keck School of Medicine in 1885 and has maintained its commitment to excellence and dedication to patient care since its inception. Presently, the LAC+USC Medical Center plays a vital role in providing critical medical treatment to many of the city’s underserved citizens. The LAC+USC Medical Center annually serves approximately 28 percent of the area’s trauma victims, in addition to 39,000 inpatient, 150,000 emergency unit, and 1 million ambulatory visitors. Moreover, the Medical Center is highly unique in that it houses one of three burn centers in the nation, and also contains one of southern California’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

To accommodate all of the ongoing treatment, training, and research at LAC+USC, the Center will soon move its patient care services into a brand-new, top-of-the-line facility, located adjacent to the original development.
