Dr. Scottie Griffin has participated in almost every part of the educational development cycle. Dr. Griffin entered the education profession as a teacher, but has since served as principal, supervisor, superintendent, coordinator, and private consultant. Whether she’s conducting presentations for private companies or advising school districts and academic departments on educational development solutions, Dr. Scottie Griffin offers expert academic insight backed by a proven record of professional success. Dr. Scottie Griffin shares her professional vision in several published works, including “Increasing Student Achievement through Mentoring and Extended Learning Programs,” a paper published for the Department of Defense Education Activity. Dr. Griffin’s doctoral dissertation, “A Study of Active Participation Instructional Strategies to Increase Students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills,” provides additional innovative insight into high-level teaching strategies. Dr. Scottie Griffin received extensive honors for her efforts in education, the District of Columbia Board of Education presented her with the Exemplary/Outstanding Leadership and Services Award as Executive Director of Public Charter Schools. Dr. Griffin was also honored as an Outstanding Presenter at the Michigan State Annual Self-Esteem Conference two years in a row. Dr. Scottie Griffin earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education with a minor in Elementary Education at Jackson State University. Dr. Griffin went on to earn a Master of Arts from Easter Michigan University and a Doctorate of Education from Western Michigan University. With a career dedicated to improving education systems both in and out of the United States, Scottie Griffin maintains a respect for her personal educational roots. Dr. Griffin is a member of Western Michigan University, Jackson State University, and Eastern Michigan University’s national alumni associations.
