Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Dr. Sharmilla Anand immigrated to the United States in the mid-1980s to pursue her postsecondary education. Dr. Anand earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, followed by a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the same institution. She possesses nearly 20 years of general and cosmetic dentistry experience in the Jacksonville, Florida, area.

Dr. Sharmilla Anand’s practice stays open late three days a week for the convenience of her patients. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, she sees individuals from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. She also treats clients at Coast Dental Services, Inc. in St. Augustine, Florida, providing her services at a second location.

Dr. Sharmilla Anand’s expertise includes family, general, and cosmetic dentistry. She works with children, as well as with adults. Dr. Anand provides in-demand treatments, such as bonding and Invisalign clear braces. She also offers a full suite of restorative services, including root canal therapy, cavity treatments, and gum restoration. In addition, she installs crowns, veneers, and bridges.
