Shulamit Glaubach, MD, began medical studies at New York’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine, completing diverse health-related research projects in Alaska, Israel, and The Netherlands during her time there. After earning her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1990, Dr. Glaubach engaged in a yearlong internal medicine training curriculum at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Mount Zion Medical Center. She subsequently pursued residency and fellowship opportunities at Yale University, Cornell University, and New York University (NYU), completing her postdoctoral work in 1996. From 1991 to 1996, Shulamit Glaubach, MD, additionally maintained visiting lecturer responsibilities with Jamaica, New York-based Personal-Touch Home Care, Inc. Beginning her career in psychiatry at Western State Hospital in Washington State, Dr. Glaubach served as psychiatrist with the Seattle Children’s Home in 1997. The following year she established a private practice, which she operated in Seattle until 2005. She also served as psychiatrist with Catholic Community Services of Western Washington from 1999 to 2000. Shulamit Glaubach, MD, is board certified in forensic psychiatry, general adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychology. A past member of the Seattle Forensic Institute, she holds affiliation with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Dr. Glaubach notably authored the article “Positive Mind Over Negative Matter,” published in the American Breast Cancer Guide in 2002. She also contributed the chapter “Developmental Factors of Violence” to the edited volume Medical Management of the Violent Patient.
