Beginning work at the Pinehurst Surgical Clinic, Pinehust, N.C., December 1, 2008, Sigsbee Duck, M.D., will continue to utilize his professional expertise on behalf of his patients as he has done for over 20 years.

A highly educated medical professional, Dr. Sigsbee Duck began his schooling as an undergraduate at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Interestingly, the future doctor’s Bachelor’s Degree was not medicine related, but actually in French. Upon graduation, Dr. Sigsbee Duck decided that he was interested in pursuing medicine and enrolled for a second Bachelor’s Degree, this time from the Mercer University School of Pharmacy. After graduating from Mercer University Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Sigsbee Duck applied to medical school at East Carolina University.

A talented med student, Dr. Sigsbee Duck quickly made a mark among his classmates and graduated with his medical degree in 1981. Following this achievement, Dr. Sigsbee Duck began an internship in general surgery at the Kentucky Medical Center. Upon the successful completion of his internship, Dr. Sigsbee Duck accepted a position as an Otolaryngology resident at Emory University in Atlanta where his skills and leadership elevated him to the role of chief resident in his final year in the program.

Professionally involved in a number of organizations, Dr. Sigsbee Duck is a well respected leader among his contemporaries. Besides being a fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Sigsbee Duck was Secretary-Treasurer of Western Section of the Triological Society from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Sigsbee Duck, M.D., was honored as a 2007 recipient of the Consumer’s Research of America Top Surgeon in America award in the field of Otolaryngology.
