Biography
Simon was born in Adelaide, Australia and lived there until he was 9 years old after which, he moved to a small country town named Port Lincoln with his parents in 1981. He spent most of his teenage life growing up there and attended the Port Lincoln High School until the age of 15. After leaving high school Simon began to work a series of manual labour jobs including training to be boilermaker (welder) and a mechanic. After realizing that these jobs didn’t really suit him he went traveling in search of something fresh and new.

At 21 Simon decided to return to his hometown (Adelaide) and begin the search for a new career. At the age of 22 Simon decided to re-enter education, graduating from Christies Beach High School with a scholarship to enter his chosen course at university. After this, Simon attended the Flinders University of South Australia and studied International Business with a major in Asian Studies and International Management and a minor in Economics. After graduation he then moved to Tokyo, Japan to work as an English Instructor for the NOVA Corporation. After 5 years at NOVA he became a freelance English Teacher for Focus English and in 2005 set up his own company: FOCUS Enterprises. Today, Simon is involved in teaching, website design, network administration, writing, editing, directing, acting and producing film for the independent film industry based in Tokyo, Japan.

Filmmaker Bio
Simon began his career in the film industry in the year of 2004. In Jan 2005, he landed his first lead acting role in the movie “Monster Removal Agency” (MRA) an action/ comedy set in Tokyo, Japan. After that, he was the lead in “Unstoppable” a short action film that portrays the escalating nature of violence. After this he went on to become more heavily involved with the production and direction of independent films and today is the founder of fOCUS fLIX Productions, Yoshilton Films, Kawa Film Studio, Focus Online Magazine (FOM) and the Japan independent Film Network (JiFN).

Currently Simon is producing and editing 2 feature films including a suspense/ drama and a documentary earmarked for completion in 2008.
