The Head Coach of the California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team, Stephanie Burner joined the program after a successful tenure at the University of North Alabama as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. Stephanie Burner believes in promoting the value of sports in the lives of young people and has successfully played and coached since she was a youngster. Stephanie Burner has a long and impressive track record playing volleyball, basketball, and other sports, winning prestigious awards as a high school and college player. To note but a few of the many accolades she has received, Stephanie Burner was named Female Athlete of the Year at her alma mater, Edinboro University, in 2003 and ranked eighth in the nation as a Division II Defensive Player in 2002. In addition, Stephanie Burner was named Most Valuable Player for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and set defense records for her school as well as for the PSAC. In addition to being a spectacular athlete, Magna Cum Laude graduate Stephanie Burner was an excellent and driven student at Edinboro University, maintaining a high GPA throughout her college career and receiving academic awards and membership in the History Honors Society and consistent recognition on the Dean’s List. A stellar high school academic and athletic career netted Stephanie Burner her school’s Most Outstanding Student Athlete Scholarship, as well as an impressive array of records and awards. Stephanie Burner’s experience as a player and coach gives her invaluable insights to impart to her own students and team players. A coach with an impressive winning roster, Stephanie Burner demonstrates that she has an understanding of what a young and developing athlete needs to grow and thrive. Stephanie Burner is personally dedicated to helping all her players reach personal goals and team success. As an academically dedicated student and teacher as well as an athlete and coach, Stephanie Burner is a true and inspiring role model for her team. In addition, Stephanie Burner recognizes and can pass on to others the values of goal setting and individual and team discipline, as well as a deep knowledge of and appreciation for the joy and thrill of the sports she coaches. Over the years, Stephanie Burner has participated in a number of local community initiatives, including the Campus Cleanup activities of both Edinboro University and the California University of Pennsylvania. Stephanie Burner has also contributed her time to Habitat for Humanity and served as a volunteer coach for local youth softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. In her spare time, Stephanie Burner enjoys reading, camping and hiking, and playing a variety of sports.
