A New York City entrepreneur with expertise in mobile, broadcast, and web technologies, Stephen Sherman currently heads 98Bluesky Media, a mobile product consulting company he founded in 2006. Combining skills in product management and development as well as user interface (UI) design and architecture with a deep understanding of changing industry trends, Mr. Sherman provides his clients with unique insight in such areas as lightweight mobile music services, social networks, immersive location-based services, push/pull services, personal data spheres, and contextual advertising.

Prior to founding 98Bluesky Media, Stephen Sherman served as Innovation Principle and Project Lead for Orange, the key brand of France Telecom. During his tenure with Orange, Mr. Sherman infused each of his projects with his innovative vision, spearheading the development of location-based blogging technologies. Leading a team of technology experts, Mr. Sherman also worked on ambient devices, Orange’s wireless music service, and the first web-based aggregator and syndication service.

Stephen Sherman’s entrepreneurial and technical background also includes the founding of DotClick Digital Music Networks, for which he raised $6.5 million from two well-known venture capitalists. One of the first social networking services of its kind, DotClick connected different users to each other based on their musical tastes. Mr. Sherman implemented a unique business plan that featured cutting-edge collaborative filtering technology and targeted advertising related to the music habits of users. Mr. Sherman’s efforts on behalf of DotClick resulted in the creation of the first social networking service that seamlessly incorporated instant messaging, location, music meta content, and collaborative filtering.

Beyond his work in the mobile technology field, New York City-based Stephen Sherman is a noted photographer. His works, which often integrate his technical knowledge of complex algorithms, have been displayed in galleries around the world.
