Since 1999, Texas resident Steve Ams has served as CEO of Global Interests, LLC. Committed to driving social and economic change within both his home country of Nigeria as well as in the United States, Steve Ams supports a number of humanitarian projects through the company. In his position as CEO, Steve Ams plays an instrumental role in streamlining the overarching business goals of the company. To date, Steve Ams facilitated the development of various divisions within the company that focus on sectors such as medicine, mining, oil and gas, finance, real estate, and humanitarian services. In addition to his work with Global Interests, Steve Ams operates as the CEO of GLOBALPCCA. Founded by Steve Ams in the hopes of creating an equitable solution to counterfeit drugs in Africa, GLOBALPCCA endeavors to provide affordable medications to Africans. Dedicated to making a difference locally, as well as internationally, Steve Ams is a former member of the Mayor of Houston’s Ministerial Advisory Board. Most recently, Steve Ams was elected Chairman of the City of Houston Mayor’s International Affairs & Development Council (MIADC). Steve Ams also led the largest multi-denominational job creation effort in Houston’s history, which resulted in the creation of 5,000 jobs. Steve Ams possesses a diverse background in medicine, theology, and business management. An alumnus of Nigeria’s Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, Steve Ams went on to attend the University of Calabar, from which he obtained his Doctor of Medicine. Steve Ams also holds a Master’s degree in Theology from the Houston Graduate School of Theology.
