With expertise in a wide range of hospital-related administrative duties, Steve Erixon brings excellence and positive results to a variety of roles held at health care institutions across America. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1978, Steve Erixon chose to further his education at Duke University. Steve Erixon received a Master’s degree in health administration in 1980 and joined the staff at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois, upon graduation. Beginning as an administrative resident at Memorial Medical Center, Steve Erixon quickly rose through the ranks to become Administrative Director in the Department of Radiology. From 1981 to 1983, Steve Erixon managed all aspects of the radiology department and earned the attention and respect of senior hospital staff members. In 1983, Memorial Medical Center appointed Steve Erixon to Assistant Vice President of Professional Services and later promoted him to Assistant Vice President of Quality Assurance and Control. In 1987, Steve Erixon left Memorial Medical Center and entered the Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville, Tennessee. Working first at Parkview Medical Center as Senior Assistant Administrator, Steve Erixon moved into the role of Associate Administrator in 1989. Finally, Steve Erixon served as Assistant Administrator at Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee, from 1991 to 1993. Recognizing his talents and wealth of experience, Columbia Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, recruited Steve Erixon to run the organization. As CEO from 1993 to 1996, Steve Erixon helped establish the Columbia Healthcare Corporation-owned medical center and ensure its continued success. In 1996, Steve Erixon achieved revenues of $67 million and expenses of $57 million. Steve Erixon also established an oncology center and two rural teaching clinics focused on family practice. Spending the next 13 years as CEO for various hospitals and medical centers, such as Memorial Mother Frances Hospital, Baxter Regional Medical Center, and Skaggs Regional Medical Center, Steve Erixon moved these organizations into the next stage of success. With a specific dedication to increasing savings and efficiency, Steve Erixon received the gratitude of hospital employees and patients alike. Steve Erixon lives in Hollister, Missouri.
