new to bigsight24, Stanford, CaliforniaSusan Chen is a junior at Stanford University. She was born in rural southern China but has spent most of her life in inner city Boston. At Stanford, she balances her time between a rigorous maximum course-load and leading several student organizations. In her spare time, she is a creative writer, studio artist, professional city walker, passionate nap-taker, ferocious chocolate connoisseur, cellphone minute burner, habitual mall shopper, and an ardent advocate of nature, animals, stuck-in-your-head music, brainteasers, traveling, and progressive social justice. She is very interested in global and domestic social issues and has volunteered countless hours in her lifetime trying to mitigate the effects of social inequities. These efforts include hosting a TV show on urban teenage issues and partaking in the successful Stanford Sweatshop-Free Campaign. Susan is currently chairing the statewide Listen To The Silence Asian American Issues Conference to occur at Stanford University on January 24, 2009. Susan still has not figured out her life calling, but she knows that whatever it is, she has better be darn good at it. Susan Chen's Schools
