Reporter Susan Roesgen has more than 20 years of experience as a reporter and an on-air anchor for local and internationally renowned news sources. Most recently, Susan Roesgen served as a correspondent with CNN, where she covered a variety of stories for four years. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Susan Roesgen was the first CNN reporter chosen for the network’s Gulf Coast Bureau in New Orleans. After two years in Louisiana, Susan Roesgen moved to CNN’s Chicago Bureau to cover stories throughout the Midwest. Prior to joining CNN, Susan Roesgen worked for the National Geographic Channel in its Washington, D.C. headquarters. For a year, Susan Roesgen co-hosted National Geographic Today, which covered daily news and cultural affairs. Susan Roesgen’s most visible accomplishment with National Geographic included a series on Egypt, which featured Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass. Susan Roesgen’s experience includes years of local reporting as well. From 1993 to 2000, Susan Roesgen co-anchored WDSU-TV in New Orleans, reporting at both the 6pm and 10pm newscasts. During her time with WDSU-TV, Susan Roesgen conducted an award-winning five-part series in Israel. Susan Roesgen also reported on the United States Army intervention in Haiti in 1995. In addition to her work in New Orleans, Susan Roesgen co-anchored for WABC-TV in New York, New York; KFMB-TV in San Diego, California; and KATV-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas. Before launching her career in on-screen journalism, Susan Roesgen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
