Susan G. Weinberg, a diagnostic radiology, joined Northeast Radiology in Cincinnati in
1982, Northeast Radiology has provided all radiologic imaging services at Bethesda North
Hospital for nearly four decades. The Bethesda North Radiology Department is the
busiest adult radiology department in the Greater Cincinnati area. Dr. Susan G. Weinberg
has served as Director or Co-Director of this radiology department since 1995
bringing her extensive clinical research and experience in the medical field to this TriHealth
facility. Dr. Weinberg combines a mixture of compassion and resilient dedication to provide
superior care to her patients. In addition to her directorial and physician duties, Susan G.
Weinberg, M.D. is the Founder and Director of the new Mary Jo Cropper Family Center for
Breast Care. This center, which will open summer of 2009, plans to provide breast health
services to nearly 60,000 area patients. Dr. Weinberg was instrumental in spear heading
the campaign to finance the new center. The initial campaign target of $2 million dollars
was exceeded—with a final campaign tally of nearly $3.3 million dollars.
Widely respected as a physician in her field, Dr. Susan Weinberg became the first woman
president of the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, a non-profit, professional organization
for Hamilton county, Ohio physicians. As President, Susan Weinberg, M.D. administered
efforts to advance the practice of medicine and promote optimal health for Greater Cincinnati
through education, advocacy, and communication. Dr. Weinberg has also been honored with
numerous awards and nominations. In 1995, Susan Weinberg, M.D., was awarded fellowship
in the American College of Radiology—an honor bestowed upon only 15% of radiologists. In 2004, Weinberg was nominated for the Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Hero Award in the Provider Category. Also among her notable honors is the Geiser Medical Award from the Bethesda Medical Staff as Physician of the Year in 2005. While Dr. Weinberg’s outstanding contributions as a physician have earned her the respect of her peers, Cincinnati’s residents have also celebrated it, with Cincinnati Magazine voting her among the top doctors in the area in 2002, 2007, and 2008.
Susan G. Weinberg, M.D. is an active member of the Radiologic Society of North America,
Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Breast Imaging, Ohio State Radiologic Society, American
Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Cincinnati Academy of Medicine and the Greater Cincinnati Radiologic Society.
Dr. Susan G. Weinberg as served on the board of the Greater Cincinnati Susan G. Komen
Society, and presently serves as a board member of the Bethesda Foundation and
the TriHealth Consolidated Services board.
Susan G. Weinberg, M.D. greaduated from the Case Western Reserve University School
of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Weinberg was honored with the Lubrizol Award for her
academic excellence as the “Most Likely to Succeed in Clinical Medicine” in her 1976 class.
