She brings a variety of experience to her current position at Merrill Lynch, where she helps clients with estate and retirement planning and general asset management. Before she moved to Merrill Lynch, Ms. LaTour worked for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney for 17 years as a broker and at one point held the position of Vice President. Through a number of professional programs at the Investment Management Consultants Association and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Suzanne LaTour has achieved several accreditations and designations, such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). Suzanne LaTour maintains several leadership roles in both the business and development communities in San Diego. She is the owner of a GolfTEC franchise in Rancho Bernardo outside San Diego, a group of instructional centers for amateur golfers, and is a member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Suzanne LaTour actively participates in LEAD San Diego, a leadership group dedicated to addressing civic issues and providing development programs for up-and-coming leaders. She also serves as an at-large member of the San Diego Women’s Foundation, a local group that inspires women to create change in the greater San Diego area through sustainable giving.
