Suzanne Pinckney was a Jefferson Scholar and Echols Scholar during her undergraduate studies in Environmental Thought and Practice, Religious Studies, and Urban and Environmental Planning before graduating from the University of Virginia. While studying environmental ethics, policy, and faith based environmental mediation, she was able to take a graduate course in Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship that cemented her interest in the business of sustainability. This passion for sustainability was enhanced by travels in South Asia. Today she works with Sustainability Partners, Inc where she assists corporate clients like Hyatt International and Nordstrom to become better corporate citizens through Values-Driven Innovation.

She is an outdoor enthusiast, an avid rock climbing instructor, mountain biker, yoga practitioner, novice in Capoeira, and trail builder. She has just moved from Charlottesville, VA to Portland, OR where she pursues action in the local food movement and plans her next trip abroad. From February to April of 2009 she will be in Rishikesh, India where she provides her time to a charitable trust based from Parmarth Niketan Ashram. She is one of the main organizers of the International Yoga Festival held at Parmarth from March 1-7.
