She practices in both the San Francisco and Newport Beach offices, where Ms. Uhland has a professional focus on restructuring, health care, derivatives and structured products, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and distressed company and bankruptcy litigation. In addition to her litigation work, Suzzanne Uhland often teams up with the firm’s transactional attorneys in bankruptcy cases as well as in cases where client companies restructure to avoid bankruptcy. Her considerable experience includes representing debtors-in-possession, creditors, and DIP lenders in Chapter 11 cases of public and private companies. She served as lead counsel to New Century Financial Corporation, a subprime lender, in their Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, and in their corporate and litigation matters as debtor-in-possession. Suzzanne Uhland was the attorney for Printronix, a portfolio company of Vector Capital, in its acquisition of TallyGenicom LP, which filed Chapter 11. Named in Best Lawyers in America, Suzzanne Uhland is recognized among her peers for her superior legal expertise. Chambers and Partners USA cited her work in restructuring for four years in a row, and she is listed in Who’s Who Legal Insolvency & Restructuring in California. Orange Coast Magazine also selected her as one of the best lawyers in Orange County. Ms. Uhland is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy. A graduate of Yale University Law School, Suzzanne Uhland also earned undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Stanford University. After earning her Juris Doctor, she served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Mariana Pfaelzer of the US District Court central district of California.
