Bay Area Public Radio Personality
Reporter, KQED San Francisco
Tamara works for KQED Public Radio in San Francisco, reporting on the Sacramento region. A former child actress, she got her first modeling gig when she was six months old; by age eight, she had been in 30 magazine ads and a commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. Tamara finished high school at age 16 and finished a BA in Philosophy from Berkeley in three years. She went on to become the youngest person ever admitted to the Grad School of Journalism at UCB. Since graduating, she has worked with a variety of NPR affiliates around California. 5 years ago she co-founded B-Side Radio, an independent radio program and podcast that aims to bring great radio stories to younger audiences. Excerpts of her work can be found on her website. Tamara is the Sacramento Region Reporter for KQED Public Radio and Sr. Producer of B-Side Radio.
