Terri Patraw is a US Soccer National “A” Licensed Coach and previous Division I Scholarship Athlete. During her 20-year long coaching career, she transformed Division I programs and athletic departments, signed top players to her schools, coached her teams to NCAA tournaments, served on the NCAA Top 25 National Coaches Poll and the University of Nevada’s Accreditation Committee, and mentored other head coaches. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

Due to her exceptional skills as an athlete, she was awarded a scholarship from the University of Wisconsin and in 1988, was a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Final Four Team, a team that was ranked second in the nation in 1990. In addition, Terri Patraw was a Central Region All-American and All Big-Ten Academic Team selection. Among her other achievements and awards, Patraw was honored for her amazing “dedication and sportsmanship” by the city of Shoreview, Minnesota. Mounds View High—the high school she attended—inducted her to their hall of fame in Arden Hills, Minnesota in October 2006.

Most recently, Terri Patraw was the Head Coach of the University of Nevada, hired in 2004 to improve the University’s soccer program through recruiting, budgeting, managing, coaching, and representing the University. Within two years, she accomplished the unthinkable: she took the University from last place to first, breaking every program record, a feat that caused her to be nominated in Soccer Buzz for the 2006 Regional Coach of the Year.

Terri Patraw’s previous coaching experience includes being a Head Coach at Arizona State University and Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at both Washington State University and the University of Kentucky. Terri also was a Staff Coach with the United States Soccer Federation’s Region II Olympic Development Program.

Within her active life, Terri Patraw makes time for community service like helping Habitat for Humanity build homes for less-fortunate families. For her hobbies, she likes to run and golf, and she enjoys soccer, football, and basketball.
