Former President and CEO, Chimes International Ltd.Tucson, ArizonaThe former CEO and President of Chimes International Ltd., Terry Allen Perl oversaw 3,500 nonprofit employees that assisted in the employment and aid of nearly 18,000 people with disabilities. Before his retirement in 2011, Mr. Perl was listed as one of the top 100 CEOs in 2009 by SmartCEO magazine. Through his leadership, Chimes International, the largest employer in the janitorial field of people with disabilities, secured contracts with the United States government and the State of Maryland. Overseeing growth that included the District of Columbia and seven states, Chimes also established ties in Israel through Mr. Perl’s focus on acquisitions and mergers. A key figure behind successful efforts to raise tens of millions of dollars in funds for disability services, Terry Allen Perl additionally oversaw dozens of construction projects for employment centers, schools, and rehabilitation centers. Recognized for excellence and innovation throughout his 40-year career in the disability services field, Terry Allen Perl was honored in the Congressional Record. A well-recognized figure in the nonprofit community, Terry Allen Perl functioned as the President of the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR), a trade and advocacy organization representing those that provide aid for people with disabilities. After he stepped down from his position with Chimes to retire, Terry Allen Perl was elected President Emeritus for Chimes International. He relocated to Arizona, where he continues to uphold his commitment to those in need. Mr. Perl remains active during his retirement and serves as a dynamic, sought-after speaker on topics such as performance-driven nonprofit management and development. Terry Allen Perl currently assists his community by maintaining membership in and serving on the boards of a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona and the Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging.
