Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship, Stanford University | Dr. Theo Blake

Stanford University fellow Theo Blake has coauthored a number of articles, including “Spinal Cord magnetic resonance imaging for investigation of nonneurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction can the yield be improved?,” published in the October 2007 issue of The Journal of Urology. Dr. Theo Blake also shares authorship of “Caulobacter crescentus synthesizes an S-layer-editing metalloprotease possessing a domain-sharing sequence similarity with its paracrystalline S-layer protein,” which appeared in the May 2002 issue of The Journal of Bacteriology.

Before Dr. Blake’s current position as a cardiovascular imaging fellow at Stanford, he completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at The University of Western Ontario in 2011, the same year he received board certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Between 2009 and 2010, Theo Blake spent his time as Chief Resident. In 2006, the same year he received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of British Columbia (UBC), he qualified for the Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada. Theo Blake also studied at the UBC for his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Immunology and Microbiology, conferred in 2001.

Theo Blake has received several awards throughout his educational journey. As an undergraduate, he made the dean’s list and was the recipient of a $10,000 award disbursed over 5 years known as the Outstanding Student Initiative. Dr. Theo Blake’s awards also include the W.S. Berryman Memorial Award, Janet Louise Berryman Scholarship in Medicine, and UBC Department of Surgery Work Study Grant. Additionally, his studies at the UBC yielded the Samuel Diamond Scholarship, the PGD Education Foundation Graduate Award, and the Gwynne-Vaughan Memorial Award in Medicine.
