The Shade Store

The Shade Store not only has a long history of customer satisfaction, it also has also received recognition from a number of prominent publications for the quality of its designs and products. Shortly after the company launched its website, The New York Times carried a piece in its “Currents” column that lauded the variety, pricing, and customer service offered by The Shade Store. In July 2010, the newspaper again featured The Shade Store, this time prominently displaying one of its Roman shades in an article about how seniors who downsize their homes after their children are grown can redecorate with style.

New York magazine featured The Shade Store in their Best of New York issue in March 2007. Along with attributes mentioned previously by The New York Times, New York magazine also hailed the company as a custom window treatment source with excellent turnaround times. The Shade Store solar shade was the featured product in what the magazine described as a living room with “big style on a not-so-big budget.” The Apartment Therapy website has featured products from The Shade Store on several occasions since 2008. Points of interest included the availability of designer fabrics and the ability of the window treatments to allow natural light into the room.

The articles also noted the partnership between The Shade Store and Dwell Home Furnishings, LLC, widely known for its quality bedding, stationery, and baby products. Finally, Martha Stewart Living magazine spotlighted The Shade Store in two issues, one in 2010 and one in 2011. The publication touted the wide array of materials from which clients can choose for custom products. Additionally, the Classic Roman shade from The Shade Store was prominently featured in a spread on creating the perfect garden-themed room.
