Dr. Thom Curtis is chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. His research focuses on terrorism, terrorists and psycho/social responses to terrorism. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Pacific Lutheran University, a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Montana State University and a Ph.D. in Human Development from Utah State University.
