Thomas Brennan is a South Africa Rhodes Scholar currently in his 3rd year of a DPhil in Biomedical Engineering under the supervision of Prof Lionel Tarassenko. His research is focused on developing novel methods of assessing the potential of new drugs to induce arrhythmia by analyzing the electrocardiogram. Thomas graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2003 with BSc(Electrical and Computering Engineering) summa cum laude. He was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship in 2004.
