Performance and video installation artist Tiffany Trenda is based in the Los Angeles, California area. Currently a Master of Fine Arts student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Tiffany Trenda has seen her work exhibited across California, the United States, and abroad. Tiffany Trenda attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, from 1998 to 2002. Specializing in photography, Tiffany Trenda graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She continued exhibiting and performing all over Los Angeles until resuming her studies at UCLA. Tiffany Trenda’s work has appeared at venues such as the Robert Berman Gallery, Photo San Francisco, the Los Angeles Center For Digital Art, and the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles. In 2010, Tiffany Trenda was featured at the World Expo in Shanghai, China. Many of Tiffany Trenda’s works are performed live by herself, incorporating mixed media elements and various types of technology. A recurring theme in Tiffany Trenda’s work is the question of how we define our technologies and how they define us. As such, many of Tiffany Trenda’s works fuse the organic with the inorganic. Tiffany Trenda’s most recent exhibitions include “Urban Devotion,” performed at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in October 2010 and “I Am Here Now,” shown at the New Wight Gallery on the UCLA campus, also in October 2010. Other exhibitions from 2010 include performances at the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles, François Ghebaly Gallery, Los Angeles Center For Digital Art, and Samuel Freeman, to name a few.
