About Tom Borelli
As a senior fellow with The National Center for Public Policy Research in Washington, D.C., Dr. Tom Borelli serves on the frontlines of promoting limited government and liberty. Serving as the Director of The National Center’s Free Enterprise Project, he exposes how the progressive movement uses corporations to achieve their social and political goals. Dr. Tom Borelli is a fierce opponent of government action that suppresses economic growth, including over regulation and taxation. Through the Free Enterprise Project, Dr. Tom Borelli spearheads campaigns that challenge CEOs who abandon sound business practices and free enterprise principles for short-term objectives that endanger long-term shareholder interests and economic growth. Dr. Tom Borelli and his colleagues garnered attention through media appearances and by way of face-to-face confrontations at shareholder meetings. Over the years, Dr. Tom Borelli has interviewed on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight, Fox News Channel’s the Glenn Beck Show and The O’Reilly Factor, CNBC’s Squawk Box, and other television programs. Dr. Tom Borelli has testified before the U.S. Senate on cap-and-trade legislation and his comments have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes magazine, The Washington Times, POLITICO, the Associated Press, and other publications and news services. Dr. Tom Borelli served as a science fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Science, Space and Technology, during the 100th United States Congress. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from New York Medical College, Dr. Tom Borelli has published a number of scientific papers on human leukemia and interferon.
