Currently the President of CMP Protective and Investigative Group, Inc., Thomas Ruskin possesses over 30 years of experience conducting criminal investigations and providing superior security services to international dignitaries and executives. Thomas Ruskin has led the CMP Group for 11 years, overseeing the firm’s development as one of the nation’s leading providers of security and investigative services. In 2009, Thomas Ruskin became an “Honored Member” of Cambridge Who’s Who. In addition, Thomas Ruskin has received numerous accolades for his years of service in the New York City Police Department, including the Outstanding New Yorker award and the Police Foundation’s “Honorary Chief of Detectives.”

As a Detective-Investigator with the NYPD, Thomas Ruskin was specially trained by the NYPD Intelligence Division and the United States Secret Service in Dignitary Protection. Thomas Ruskin was assigned important and highly sensitive leaders to protect, including the President of the United States, the Vice-President, world leaders, and diplomats from around the world. Thomas Ruskin held very sensitive positions during his tenure with the New York City Police Department, including handling crisis management for the Mayor, Police Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioners of Operations and Crime Control Strategies, and for the people of the City of New York.

At the NYPD, Thomas Ruskin also worked in the Burglary Latent Print Unit, the Anti-Crime Squad, and the Narcotics Division’s Special Projects Unit in the Organized Control Bureau. Thomas Ruskin oversaw a $3 million federally subsidized yearly grant for an undercover crime-fighting program for the New York City Police Department. Thomas Ruskin received countless accolades from federal, state, and local leaders for his ability to manage this program so efficiently and successfully.
