Troy prefers the maintenance/enhancement side of software development, but he prefers to maintain and enhance with new approaches, fresh appearances, and minimal code. Primarily working on C# ASP.Net web projects these days, Troy also enjoys creating the occasional tab gif, sorting through xml data files, and messing with his css and javascript deliverables. He likens much of his development work to hanging around and solving puzzles, but at least these puzzles have a purpose.

As much as Troy likes to do his work, he actually prefers to not do his work. He was a math major for much of his college career (and what is computer science but applied math) but has always wanted to be a writer. Preferring classic literature, Troy spends some of his occasional free time reading. Other pursuits include cycling, brewing beer, and exploring new facets of life. He likes to travel when he gets the opportunity, enjoys visiting breweries, and is intrigued to learn how other people live.
