TADA represents franchised automobile dealers in the Texas Legislature, Congress, and various other regulatory agencies.

Members of TADA enjoy a number of exclusive services, including the TADA Legal Defense Fund. Thanks to contributions from all TADA members, the Fund provides legal assistance in cases that will potentially serve the interests of all members. To recognize the work of outstanding members, TADA issues several awards. One of the most coveted awards, the TADA Distinguished Dealer Award, honors dealers who have made it a lifelong goal to serve their customers, employees, communities, and families. Another award, the TADA Legend, acknowledges dealers who have distinguished themselves by creating a unique body of work.
