new to bigsight29, Silver Spring, MarylandVan Jackson is the Founder and Executive Editor of Asia Chronicle (www.asiachroniclenews.com ). In addition to running the journal, Van serves a diverse group of clients as a strategy consultant and is a recognized expert in East Asian security, political economy, and U.S.-Asia relations. Prior to founding Asia Chronicle, Van worked as a policy consultant at BearingPoint, Inc. and served in the U.S. Air Force as a specialist in East Asia. An honors graduate of the Defense Language Institute, Van holds an AA in Korean, a BA in Asian Studies, an MA in International Relations, and is currently working on a PhD in World Politics at the Catholic University of America. He has traveled throughout Asia and speaks Korean. As a freelance writer, Van’s previous work has been published in the Harvard International Review, Far Eastern Economic Review, and Foreign Policy in Focus, among many other places. Interviews with Van as an expert in Asian business strategy have appeared in Business & Economy and 4P’s Business & Marketing.
