Walter Roshon serves as the Lead Consultant for Oz IT Solutions, where he provides comprehensive technology solutions to organizations large and small in Delaware.

As Contract Systems Architect for Bank of America Corporation, where he functioned as the Principal Architect and Technical Advisor to the Server Security Remediation project. Walter Roshon actively collaborated with the Business Technology Group to develop and deploy technical recovery and test plans. Walter also planned and implemented security baselines and system update processes.

Previously, Walter Roshon has held several positions within the educational technology industry, working with school districts and municipal governments to support large-scale technological developments. As the Senior Systems Specialist for the Appoquinimink School District, Walter Roshon oversaw IT operations while managing a group of four employees. Through strategic management and communication, Walter Roshon ensured the District’s infrastructure, servers, networks, voice systems, backups, security, and end-user accounts were functioning properly. Walter Roshon engineered business process improvements to streamline security, standards, user friendliness, and computer lab management. Walter Roshon spearheaded several projects during his tenure, including the transition to network-based storage and deploying two large-scale projects at separate sites 30 percent under budget and on time.

Before joining the school district, Walter Roshon was the Technical Consultant for the Delaware Center for Educational Technology, in which he managed Microsoft Active Directory forests for state-run public schools. As an Enterprise Administrator, Walter Roshon deployed and maintained Active Directories for more than 90 domain controllers and built relationships with schools to better advise them on information technology issues and architecture. Walter Roshon instrumentally researched, selected, and managed hardware vendors, such as 3Com, to provide hardware controllers throughout the state’s schools. Using a consumer-centric approach, Walter Roshon improved the state’s relations with other agencies and organizations.

Walter Roshon received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Delaware, where he maintained a 4.0 GPA while winning multiple academic honors.

    AREA OF EMPHASIS AT DELAWARE

    The Engineering Technology (ET) curriculum is a rigorous combination of chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, technology, and mathematics. Depending on the student’s interest, an ET major may choose to specialize his or her studies by concentrating in either Construction Technology & Technical Management or Applied Electronics & Controls. In both concentrations, students choose from a wide range of courses to fulfill requirements in Technical Skills, Technical Specialization, and Technical Support. All students must also complete 24 credits of general-education requirements in communications, social sciences, humanities, and English. For the student wanting to strengthen their theoretical preparation, a minor in Civil Engineering is possible with the ET major.
