Wendy Chen is from Boston, MA but was originally born in China. She is currently a junior at MIT studying neuroscience and biology. She is interested in international health and development. As founder of the MIT chapter for the India School Fund, she has recruited other students to help needy children in India get a quality education and perform well academically so that they can become productive citizens in the long run and break out of their poverty. She is currently working on a social entrepreneurship class at MIT in order to get students involved in international development projects. Besides international development, she is also passionate about the visual arts, skating, tennis, sewing, and biological research. She hopes to attend medical school after graduation.
