Throughout her career in communications and advertising, Wendy Owen has maintained a wide range of professional, charitable, and personal commitments.

A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, longtime communications and PR executive Wendy Owen maintains involvement with a wide range of programs and activities at her alma mater. Holding lifetime membership in the Penn State Alumni Association, Wendy Owen earned recognition as a 2004 Penn State Alumni Fellow. Over the years, Wendy Owen has also played an integral role in the Women in the Sciences & Engineering (WISE) Institute, the Women’s Leadership Initiative, and “For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students.”

Working in numerous managerial and executive capacities at Lockheed Martin and the pre-merger Martin Marietta Corporation for nearly 20 years, Wendy Owen earned a succession of promotions and awards during this period. In her role as Vice President of Communications for Lockheed Martin Information & Technology Services, Wendy Owen developed a solid track record and received Lockheed Martin Managers Awards in 1996, 1998, and 2000. In addition, Wendy Owen held responsibilities surrounding several crisis management situations, including the Columbia Space Shuttle disaster and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Owing to her exemplary performance in this role, Wendy Owen was named Vice President of Strategic Communications Initiatives and Global Services for Lockheed Martin in 2007. Charged with such duties as overseeing the 20th anniversary of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education, Wendy Owen ensured the smooth operation of these festivities and provided support to Honorary Chairmen.

An advertising professional as well, Wendy Owen has won more than 30 individual awards for her creative work, including a regional Emmy. Wendy Owen has held positions at such companies as O’Brien Corporation, Honeywell Corporation, ITG Advertising, and Keith Thomas & Company Advertising and Public Relations.
