A flat track motorcycle racer, Mr. William E. Clark is an active member of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), which has advocated for the rights of motorcyclists throughout the country since 1924. The AMA works for all riders around the United States, from recreational bikers to professional racers. Today, the AMA has grown into the world’s largest motorcycling organization, advocating on behalf of cyclists at the local, state, and federal level. In addition to its advocacy efforts, the AMA also supports a number of competitions and recreational events throughout the nation, maintains a Motorcycle Hall of Fame, and links its members to discounts on essential gear, services, and insurance. This coming September, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Pickerington, Ohio will hold its annual Open House, opening its doors to all motorcyclists and their families free of charge. The event will highlight three newly dedicated exhibitions: Dirt-Track! All-American Racing, 30-Year Ride: Honda’s Ohio-Made Motorcycles, and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Gallery. The gallery, which fills the main floor of the museum, celebrates those who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame for their contributions to motorcycling, whether on the track or through government action. Dirt-Track! follows the unique development of dirt-track racing into one of America’s most exciting professional sports. 30-Year Ride chronicles more than three decades of Honda’s Ohio-based factory and the more than 2 million products produced by the plant. The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame also features classic and notable bikes that have been produced in the United States and a Museum Founders Hall.
