An outgoing and savvy Harvard MBA, William A.G. Mackey has the drive and confidence to achieve rapid positive results. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree in Production Technology from Imperial College London.

He leads with energy, flair and enthusiasm. With substantial management experience in a broad range of companies from Fortune 500 to technology start-ups, he has demonstrated bottom-line accomplishments in general management, marketing, business development, business planning, financial analysis, and information technology. His professional know-how encompasses specialty chemicals, analytical testing services, aerospace and defense, information technology, financial services, and Big 4 management consulting.

Currently, William Mackey is Manager of Administration at Advanced Adhesive Systems, Inc., Newington, Connecticut. The company is a custom manufacturer of engineered adhesives, including methyl methacrylates, anaerobics, epoxies, UV curing adhesives and coatings, and cyanoacrylates. His primary responsibilities cover the complete end-to-end spectrum of functions relating to customer service and satisfaction within the structured discipline of an ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.

Prior to joining Advanced Adhesive Systems, he founded Axiom Laboratories, an analytical testing laboratory focused on materials testing services for aerospace manufacturing companies. Before that venture, he was a co-founder of Signum Microsystems, a software development company specializing in full-text search and retrieval and client-server database applications. He has also worked in a variety of management and individual contributor positions at companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Otis Elevator, Loctite Corporation, Textron, and Rolls-Royce.

Outside of his business career, William Mackey enjoys a widely varied assortment of pursuits and activities. He serves as a volunteer staff producer and announcer in the Classical Music Department at WWUH Radio 91.3 FM, a public alternative radio station operated by the University of Hartford. He is also active in a number of civic organizations, including the World Affairs Council, Harvard Club of Northern Connecticut, and MIT Enterprise Forum. His activities include canoeing, cycling, fly-fishing, golf, horseback riding, sailing, skiing, swimming, walking, and hiking.

Among his primary interests is the evolving impact of Web 2.0 that is changing the ways in which software developers and end-users use the web as a platform. More specifically, he is seeking ways to exploit such trends in developing new business opportunities on a global basis.
