Born and raised in Arizona, Wirt Morton has taken on many endeavors during the course of his career, including time spent as a creative director, political consultant, and sports agent.

In his first role the marketing industry, Wirt Morton joined his family’s advertising and public relations firm, Morton & O’Shea Advertising, where he served as a Media Buyer; he later acted as a creative director for three different firms. He also contributed significantly to various marketing campaigns, including public service messages for the Central Arizona Shelter Services, the Phoenix Symphony, and The United Way of Arizona. Wirt Morton remains involved in the advertising and public relations industry and works with clients in Hawaii and Los Angeles.

As a political consultant, Wirt Morton managed the campaigns of well-known Arizona politicians, including former Attorney General Bob Corbin, former Governor Evan Mecham, and former Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives Stan Akers. In addition, he has worked on various Arizona and California campaigns, including the 1994 California State Assembly bid from Bob Davis; although the candidate did not win the general election, Wirt Morton received recognition for enabling Mr. Davis to receive more votes than any other Republican candidate in the state.

As a sports agent, Wirt Morton founded his first company after signing an Australian golfer named Jan Stephenson, who enjoyed a long LPGA career. Later, he renamed his company Management Councilors Representation (MCR) and signed other LPGA players to his roster of clients, including Kathy Whitworth, Kathy Ahern, and Amy Alcott. Wirt Morton facilitated Jan Stephenson’s hiring as on-air talent for a United States Open Championship broadcast and he also represented Rhonda Glenn, the first female broadcaster at ESPN. Each year, MCR agents represented 40 to 45 college football players and regularly attended the Senior Bowl in Alabama and the NFL Draft in New York City to look for talent, which included Danny White, Drew Hill, and Stump Mitchell. In addition to signing NFL hopefuls, Wirt Morton procured a host of endorsement deals for his clients, including arranging for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White to appear in a series of Chrysler commercials.
