Wladimir Kraus has studied, researched, taught economics, and co-authored ‘Engineering the Financial Crisis: Systemic Risk and the Failure of Regulation.’Economist Wladimir Kraus has completed advanced education within his field. Fluent in English, German, and Russian, Kraus has studied in multiple countries. In 1998, Kraus began pursuing a Master’s degree in Economics and Theoretical Macroeconomics at the University of Paderborn in Germany. While enrolled, Wladimir Kraus spent time in Chicago as a visiting scholar at DePaul University. After graduating, Wladimir Kraus relocated to Italy, and began studies at the University of Turin. Currently, Kraus is working toward his doctoral degree at the University of the Mediterranean Aix-Marseille 2 in France while he writes his thesis on labor relationships. Throughout his academic career, Wladimir Kraus held multiple assistant teaching positions. In 2000 and 2001, Kraus taught mathematics, geometry, and statistics to high school students at Meinwerk Institut in Paderborn. The following year, Wladimir Kraus served as a Student Assistant at the University of Paderborn; his responsibilities included conducting research and grading student exams. More recently, Kraus operated as a Teaching Assistant at the International University College of Turin for a course titled The Legal and Economic Institutions of Capitalism. Presently, Wladimir Kraus devotes much of his time to writing. In 2011, University of Pennsylvania Press will publish the book he co-authored with Jeffrey Friedman, called Engineering the Financial Crisis: Systemic Risk and the Failure of Regulation.
