Growing up, her imagination fueled her fierce independence, so you were more likely to catch her playing “office” instead of “house”. The written word fascinates and practically ruled her adolescence. Whether it was storybooks written for and about her friends, fan letters to her favorite stars, her turn as the yearbook editor in Middle and High schools or the more than 500 magazines her father disposed of without her consent after they began to take over her teenage bedroom, its been pretty apparent upon meeting her, that writing (and speaking her mind) is her thing. Making it official, she wrote for Chickclick in 1999 as the site went online (and sadly off, in 2001) overseeing a thrice-weekly column ranging from business, to politics and entertainment as well as going out in to the field, covering stories regarding San Francisco, fashion, youth culture and events . She moved on to research, fact checking and data-entry for Award-winning local, San Francisco Magazine.
