Israeli-American businessman Yuval Tal founded Payoneer, the company that he is president of, which is considered a world leader among companies providing online payment solutions.

Born in 1965, Tal grew up and completed his education in the country of his birth -Israel. He studied at Tel Aviv University, graduating first with a B.Sc in mechanical engineering and thereafter with a M.Sc. in biomedical engineering, minor in business administration.

Yuval Tal has been involved in a number of companies in various capacities, as well as having himself established several companies. He started his career as vice president for business development at Radware, which specializes in the delivery and application of network security systems. From there Tal moved to become general manager of R-U-Sure, a start-up company dealing in Internet comparison shopping.

Yuval Tal then co-founded E4X, which offered an instant infrastructure and service that enabled and ensured electronic transactions in multiple currencies for e-merchants and web-based businesses, expediting internet cross-border payments. The company revolutionized the concept of global e-commerce and was considered a pioneer in offering online payment services backed up with market proof. The company reached new heights of success under Tal’s management, reporting revenue of more than $500 million. E4X was later renamed FiftyOne, and though the name has changed, its reputation as a market leader in its field has remained intact. The company headquarters are in New York, with its R&D operating out of Israel.

In 2005 Tal, together with a partner, co-founded Payoneer where he serves as president of the company. Payoneer provides a solution for online payment distribution while complying with the strictest integrity, security and privacy standards. The company provides prepaid MasterCard® cards enabling internet businesses and companies to pay their suppliers and partners. Payoneer services a wide variety of industries including, inter alia, web merchants, content providers, online surveys and marketing, and more. The company employs more than 100 staff members operating out of headquarters in New York and R&D facilities in Israel. The staff includes both financial and technology professionals, as well as customer support staff who provide multilingual support via email, telephone and live chat.

Payments-R-us, Tal’s latest venture, is a web service that uses proprietary software to assist companies in finding their best-fit payment solution. All of the four members of the team running the venture are veterans in the e-commerce arena with over 100 years of accumulated experience.

When off-line, Yuval Tal has several hobbies that fill his leisure time. He is both an avid photographer, with several courses under his belt, and a keen sportsman. Marathon running and triathlons are his preferred sports.
